Dr. Simone
Atzori is Researcher at INGV, the Geophysics and Volcanology
National Institute
(Rome). He graduated in 1998 in Environmental Engineering and
got the Ph.D. in
Remote Sensing in 2004, both at the University of Rome “La
Sapienza”.
He worked at the Vesuvian Observatory in Naples, the International Institute of Volcanology of Catania and the Civil Protection - Seismic Survey in Rome, before getting a position as researcher at INGV in Rome in 2003. He had working experiences at COMET (Center for the Observation and Modeling of Earthquakes, Volcanoes and Tectonics, in Oxford), IREA-CNR (Italian Institute for the Electromagnetic Sensing of the Environment, in Naples) and sarmap s.a. (the private Swiss software house company producing SARscape). Fields of interest are InSAR remote sensing processing and Geophysical modeling with specific applications in tectonics, volcanology and natural or man induced land subsidence. |
