Daniele De Vecchi is a PhD student at the University of Pavia.

His research is mainly focused on the integration of remote sensing and crowdsourcing data for pre-event vulnerability estimation and the combination with post-event damage assessment from SAR imagery.

He was involved in the EU FP7 project SENSUM (http://www.sensum-project.eu/) as developer of algorithms for the extraction of vulnerability indicators from multispectral satellite images. He also contributes to the EU FP7 project RASOR (http://www.rasor-project.eu/).
